Who can I message on Rythme?
Messaging access is role-aware and permission-based to protect users from spam while enabling meaningful communication.
Listener
β Artists, Managers (if open)
β From verified artists or platform notifications
Artist
β Fans, Managers, Collaborators
β From fans (if enabled), managers, Rythme team
Manager
β Artists (linked), Listeners (via campaigns)
β From linked artists, verified fans
Verified Users
β All open profiles
β All incoming messages (based on settings)
Messaging is only available after account verification or wallet connection. Guest users cannot send messages.
Can artists disable or limit messaging?
Yes. Artist and manager accounts have full control over their inbox visibility and message permissions.
Inbox Visibility Settings Artists and managers can choose:
π Open to all users
π Only allow messages from followers
π Only verified users can message
π Completely disable messaging
These settings are managed under: Profile > Inbox Settings > Message Permissions
Tip: Use the βauto-replyβ feature to greet fans or direct them to your NFT drop, staking campaign, or social links.
Are chats private or public?
Rythme supports two types of communication:
Private Chats
One-on-one encrypted messages between you and another user
π Private only
Public Threads
Available on some artist pages and release drops
π Publicly viewable
Event Chats
Temporary discussion threads tied to live events or drops
π Public / semi-private
All private messages are end-to-end encrypted and stored securely β only the sender and receiver can read them.
Moderators may intervene only if messages are flagged for abuse or spam, in compliance with our platformβs safety policies.

Message Reactions β Respond with emojis to fan messages or replies
File Sharing β Send images or clips (for artists/managers only)
Pinned Threads β Managers can pin important updates or campaign links
Spam Filter β Automatic filtering based on behavior and history
How do I start a chat?
Visit a userβs profile (artist, manager, or fan)
Click the βMessageβ button (if enabled)
Type your message and hit send π
Youβll be notified when they reply (via bell icon or email if enabled)
