Who can I message on Rythme?

Messaging access is role-aware and permission-based to protect users from spam while enabling meaningful communication.

Messaging is only available after account verification or wallet connection. Guest users cannot send messages.


Can artists disable or limit messaging?

Yes. Artist and manager accounts have full control over their inbox visibility and message permissions.

Inbox Visibility Settings Artists and managers can choose:

  • πŸ”˜ Open to all users

  • πŸ”˜ Only allow messages from followers

  • πŸ”˜ Only verified users can message

  • πŸ”˜ Completely disable messaging

These settings are managed under: Profile > Inbox Settings > Message Permissions

Tip: Use the β€œauto-reply” feature to greet fans or direct them to your NFT drop, staking campaign, or social links.


Are chats private or public?

Rythme supports two types of communication:

All private messages are end-to-end encrypted and stored securely β€” only the sender and receiver can read them.

Moderators may intervene only if messages are flagged for abuse or spam, in compliance with our platform’s safety policies.


Other Messaging Features

  • Message Reactions – Respond with emojis to fan messages or replies

  • File Sharing – Send images or clips (for artists/managers only)

  • Pinned Threads – Managers can pin important updates or campaign links

  • Spam Filter – Automatic filtering based on behavior and history


How do I start a chat?

  1. Visit a user’s profile (artist, manager, or fan)

  2. Click the β€œMessage” button (if enabled)

  3. Type your message and hit send πŸš€

  4. You’ll be notified when they reply (via bell icon or email if enabled)
